Notice of Board Vacancy


The Southern Marin Fire Protection District Board of Directors has an opening. The vacancy is for the first two (2) years of a 4-year term. Thereafter, the position is subject to reelection by the voters who reside within the District borders.

The area of responsibility for the Southern Marin Fire District is Tamalpais Valley, Almonte, Homestead Valley, Alto, Strawberry, a portion of the Town of Tiburon and the City of Sausalito. Interested parties should submit a letter of intent along & brief resume to SMFD, Attention: ASM Kim, 308 Reed Boulevard, Mill Valley by August 12, 2016. Applicants must be a registered voter residing in the Southern Marin Fire District.

Interviews will take place on August 24, 2016 at the Fire District Board meeting. The Board will meet at 6:00 pm at Fire Station 9 located at 308 Reed Boulevard in Mill Valley.
