The Climate Crisis is a Health Crisis
The health effects of the climate crisis are already upon us – from lung disease triggered by wildfires to deadly heatwaves to surges of infectious diseases. Evidence is mounting that biodiversity loss and changes in temperature and precipitation affect malnutriton, infectious and chronic diseases, and mental health, and lead to injuries and premature death. In this presentation, our specialists will discuss immediate and long-term causes and effects on health, and what we must do in our local and global communities to control, respond, treat, adapt and mitigate.
