Southern Marin Fire District committed to working with you to reduce the risk of wildfire through home hardening and defensible space evaluations on your property. Starting as early as October 14th, neighbors in Scott Valley neighborhood will be evaluated for wildfire risk.

Caltrans maintenance is scheduled to close the lower half of the Manzanita Park and Ride lot, along with the shoulder parking on State Route 1 (Shoreline Highway), in Tam Valley from Wednesday, November 13 through Tuesday, November 19, 2024 due to forecasted high tide flood warnings.

Prescribed burn operations may begin as early as Thursday, October 10, in Mount Tamalpais State Park, which could result in visible smoke in the area. Burn planners ask the community to refrain from calling 9-1-1 to report smoke.
