Posted on 1/29/2024
The Southern Marin Fire Protection District (SMFD) has been working with other Marin County jurisdictions to update Marin County’s Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan, which is updated every five years, assesses natural hazard risks and identifies and prioritizes projects to reduce those risks. Completion of this plan qualifies SMFD for FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funding.
At this time, the overall County plan as well as SMFD’s profile (an appendix to the plan) are available for public review. Review this link to see the 2024 SMFD Hazard Profile document.
