What We Do in Finance:

  • Maintain day-to-day financial control, and assure that all finances are properly administered (including payroll, pension reporting, accounts payable/receivable).

  • Report to the Chief and Finance Committee on a monthly basis with prepared budget reports, periodic analysis and forecasting, and other relevant items.

  • Compile the annual budget for Board approval and communicate with the Finance Committee and/or employees if there are variances.

  • Develop and maintain external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, bankers, actuaries, County of Marin, other cities/districts.

  • Manage grants and mutual aid reimbursements.
