Current Projects:

Station 9 - Strawberry - Mold Mitigation Plan - In progress  (Update as of March 15, 2024)

• On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the Fire District relocated crews temporarily from Fire Station 9 - Strawberry to Fire Station 7 – Mill Valley.  This temporary move is to assist the process of mitigating mold from the facility.
• To ensure the Fire District balances our personnel's safety and the community's needs for service of medical and emergency calls, resources will still be responding to and serving the Alto and surrounding communities from Fire Station 7 - Mill Valley located at 1 Hamilton Drive.

• On 2/29/24, the Fire District anticipates the relocation to last approximately two weeks but will post continual updates on the Fire District’s website and social media platforms.

• On March 6th, 2024, Ralph Guzman, the Industrial Hygienist, from Enviro-S.T.A.R. provided a summary plan for Fire Station 9 moving forward. Download PDF. 
• On March 15th, 2024, Ralph Guzman, the Industrial Hygienist, from Enviro-S.T.A.R. provided an update to the Fire District that the contaminated area was clear and safe for our crews to reoccupy the station.

Station 4 - Tam Valley - Fire-Smart Landscaping Project Phase 2 - In Progress (February 12, 2024)

• Courtesy notice mailers will be delivered to 85 residential properties within the 300ft radius of Station 4 the week of February 12th, 2024.
