We appreciate your interest in the Measure U Senior Low-Income Exemption Application. Applications for 2024 are now open. Applications must be postmarked by June 30, 2024.

Instructions: File by June 30, 2024. This application serves to request the Measure U Senior Low Income Exemption. To qualify for this exemption, you must be 65 years of age or older by July 1, 2024, own and occupy your residence located in the Southern Marin Fire Protection District, and your combined household income is at or below the following thresholds.
The total gross household income from all sources, including social security, for the 2023 calendar year does not exceed the following:
- For a single-person household: $109,700
- For a two-person household: $125,350
- For a three-person household: $141,000
- For a four-person household: $156,650
- For a five-person household: $169,200
In order to meet the deadline to qualify for the exemption on your September 2024-2025 tax bill, you must file your request by June 30, 2024.
You must reapply each year to keep the exemption in effect.
