Neighborhood Response Group Block Captain Orientation

  • Date: 04/27/2023 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Introduction: The next Southern Marin Neighborhood Response Group Block Captain Orientation will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 5pm.
You are invited to the next Neighborhood Response Group Block Captain Orientation!

Learn more about what volunteer Block Captains can do in their neighborhoods to improve community resilience, prepare for and respond to emergencies and natural disasters. We’ll share resources you can connect to, ways to organize, and more. Hope you can join us!

What is the role of a Block Captain?
When disasters happen and people need help and assistance, neighbors turn to neighbors. Block Captains are volunteer neighbors who help organize, collect shared information, reach out to new neighbors and can participate in preparedness training. In the event of an emergency, it’s likely not everyone will be home at the same time, so the more people who know what to do, the better. Even if you only have 5 minutes, there’s something we can all do to help our neighborhoods become more resilient.
